God this is good!

I am talking about my lunch!  It's incredible!

Good day today so far... drinking water.

Today's weight - 169.6 (at least it's under 170!)
Goal weight - 165

Breakfast - the usual
Snack - egg whites
Lunch - a handful of shrimp, 1/2 a chopped avocado, 1 chopped tomato, some lettuce leaves... don't know?  spring mix maybe, some chick peas (although these could be omitted).  Squeezed a little lime on there and voila... an amazing lunch!
Sweaty and nasty after KB last night... but feeling good!

Starting over... again?

This time of year is soooooooooooooo hard for me.... There's a ton of birthdays in my family in October - 11 to be precise... it's hard to stay eating clean when there is all that cake around!  Then there's Thanksgiving, add a surgery in there, and Halloween... Holy Shit it's hard!  BUT, no excuses, I have to get back to my comfy weight before the Xmas season starts or I will end up where I was last year! (30lbs overweight and working my ass off to get rid of it!).

So, I'm starting over for the third time this year, but hey, at least I haven't given up which is where I am normally at....

Today - forgot to weigh... what????
Goal weight - December 1st = 165lbs

Breakfast - the shake (see previous) - tired of writing this out.
Snack - egg whites and a plum
Lunch - A can of tune mixed with some Waldon Farms' honey mustard dressing (have you tried this??  It's amazing - calorie free vinegar based) and some salad.  Yummy!
Snack... I forgot one
Dinner - 1/2 cup oats mixed with a handful each of raisins, real coconut, chia seed, hemp hearts and a bit of coconut sugar.  Mmmmmmm, I LOVE this!

Workout - I kickboxed like a crazy lady last night and loved every minute of it!!!!

Then............. I got home and sweet Matty had made popcorn for me... with butter.... a whole bowl of it.  Why don't I have any willpower to say NO?  I ate it... all of it...... Ugh....

That's a HUGE plate of food.... but it was sooooooooo good!

Eye surgery, still healing but definitely wasn't interested in eating properly while this was taking place!

Back to Reality!

Okay... I'm really struggling here... It's post Maui and I am "up" 7.2 lbs from my comfortable weight.  I can feel it in my clothes.  It doesn't feel good.  I haven't been working out, my schedule is crazy, I'm accountable to no one... In fact, I ate three donuts yesterday.  I'm like a total addict right now.  I NEED to get back off gluten and dairy - I feel so, so, so much better when I do!  So... in the theme of beating the OLD ME, I need to get back to reality and realize that I do not want to get fat again by Christmas.... like I have for the last five years...

Here's today's diet:

Breakfast: 250ml skim milk (I am out of coconut... grocery day is FRIDAY), protien powder, one banana, cocoa, instant coffee, and a tsp of sun butter... I am LOVING the sunbutter.

1 black coffee

Snack - 4 egg whites w/ a bit of salt

Lunch - chickpea salad with a chunk of roasted chicken (from Safeway... not the best option, but better than the chips, chocolate, and croissants I've been eating)

Snack - 1/2 of a huge apple!!!!

Dinner - Ugh... It was Nate's birthday today, so his choice was McDonald's.  Not gonna lie, I was sooooooo tempted to have the McChicken... but I had a Santa Fe Salad instead.  It was really, really good... got me thinking about it all day today.

Of course I had cake.... I didn't really even want it, but I ate it anyway....

Proud of one thing though - I did not come home rooting around the house for more crap to eat.  I stuck to my guns and did not snack tonight!  Yay me!  One small accomplishment...

Dec 1 goal weight - 165

First day of clean eating in about two months.... And tomorrow I am back to kickboxing!!!!  Here we go!!!!!

Countdown to Maui... 9 Days!



Ugh... these photos look so much better on my iphone..... I didn't realize my legs were so yucky!  Need to work on that for sure!  For all the kickboxing I do, you'd think they would look better than that!

Countdown to Maui - 10 days!

Good morning!  Here is today's shot!  Feeling better today than I did yesterday!  Slept horribly last night though... awful dreams and two kids in my bed with me!  Sheesh!  When will I learn!

Eeek... look how messy my bathroom looks!

Weight: 165.2
Goal weight for Maui: 164

Breakfast: 250ml coconut milk, Tcocoa, Tinstant coffee, 1 banana, BLEND!
Snack: 1 nectarine, 1T almond butter
EEEEEK:  Co-worker bought me a mocha.... from Tim Horton's... didn't want to hurt his feelings but didn't want to drink it either.... BUT I did.... DAMN!
Lunch: Leftovers from last night - lettuce wraps with chicken, carrots, cucumber and hoisin sauce.  Yummy!
Afternoon snack:
Dinner: 1 BBQ'd pork chop (no sauce), 1/2 plate of salad with balsamic vinegarette (homemade), baked beets and carrotts.  Yummy!
Another oops: I should never have even put my hand in the box... but I did... ate about 10 gluten free animal crackers.  Could have been worse though - everyone else had cake and ice cream!

Countdown to Maui... 11 days!

This is my secret blog... LOL... I know people can stumble across it, but nevertheless, I doubt anyone will.

I have struggled with my weight as long as I can remember.  I am weak... what you eat in private shows in public!  This year I lost nearly 30lbs and I have sworn to keep it off... unlike other years.  I am currently up by 1.2lbs with just 11 days to go until we leave for Maui.  The reality is... I WILL gain weight in Maui.  I know myself... but I am not the same person I used to be.  The one who would throw caution to the wind and eat whatever I wanted and figure that come January I would lose the weight.  I am NOT the person who makes a "mistake" and then gives up for the rest of the week.  I am changing my mindset... slowly.  I want to be healthy.  And I want to look good.

So, I took a picture this morning at home but then my hubby took my iphone in for repair.  Eeeek!  Now somebody out there has a picture of me like this... except in bootie shorts.  OMG!  Since I want a daily pic, I took my phone to the bathroom at work and took one.  What the hell!  Here it is.... A little scary around the midsection... always a struggle for me!

Today's weight:  167.4
Goal weight for Maui: 164

Breakfast: 250ml rice milk, Tcocoa, Tinstant coffee, 1 scoop Vega One, 1 banana
Morning snack: Talmond butter, 1 nectarine
Lunch: Chickpea chicken salad - chickpeas, corn, red onion, red pepper, shredded chicken.  Dressing was lemon juice and a sprinkle of salt.
Afternoon snack: 1 small banana
Dinner: (going to kickboxing, so can't eat a normal dinner tonight) 250ml coconut milk, handful of blueberries, 1/2 banana, 5 small strawberries - blend!
After workout: 2 chicken lettuce wraps - lettuce, shredded plain chicken, carrots, cucumbers and a tiny bit of hoisin sauce.


Workout: 1 1/4 hours of kickboxing!  Sweat like a mofo because it was about 100degrees up there!

Good day!  Feeling good, but slept like crap!
